Session Information

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Please be advised that this is a very intensive graphic workshop. Normally you will spend from 12 to 18 hours per day in the studio without weekends. Therefore, you are encouraged to bring along 12 sets of undergarments (and also bring a swim suit for the summer sessions). Get plenty of rest before attending the session, and be prepared to experience great improvements in graphics and design and to obtain the confidence needed in your life.

TRANSPORTATION:
If you are planning to fly into Manhattan, Kansas after your arrival in Kansas City, you may :
1. Take the USAirways Express (1-800-428-4322),
2. Take the KCI Roadrunner Airport Shuttle Service (1-800-747-2524 or 785-539-2284 in Canada).
It will cost $53.00 for one way or $95.00 roundtrip.
3. Rent a car if you have more than two in your party and need a car for convenience during your stay (It is recommended to rent a car if you wish not to carpool).

ART SUPPLIES:
For your convenience, art supplies and reference texts are available within the workshop studio and you are encouraged to purchase them upon arrival. Prices are very competitive and should be lower than those in your local stores. Depending on your current supplies, you may want to budget between $50-$200 for art supplies and $50-$100 for reference books.

LODGING:
You will be staying at a local hotel. The current discounted group rate is a flat rate of $39 for single or up to 4 people (this may be the lowest hotel room rate in the country). Upon your arrival at the hotel, you will be assisted with reservations and finding roommates. Please DO NOT make reservation directly to the hotel nor pay us in advance.

WEATHER:
The average temperature during the January session is from 25 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Bring your warm clothes and snow shoes for occasional precipitation. It should be warm and comfortable for the May session . In any case, our studio is air conditioned.
