Travel and Lodging

One of the great benefits of conducting the workshop in Manhattan, Kansas is the low price of lodging and food. The workshop has an ongoing business relationship with a local hotel to obtain the exceptionally low rate. The current discounted nightly rate booked through the workshop is:

$39.00 - Single
$19.50 - Double
$13.00 - Triple
$ 9.75 - Quad.

There are a few fancier hotels/motels in town if you have extra money to spend. Most range from $55 - $100 per night. Remember, the 12-16 hour/day workshop goes straight thru with no weekend breaks. You won't be spending much time in your motel room. It is therefore recommended that you take advantage of the discounted rates.

Participants flying in from outside the region are responsible for their own transportation into Manhattan, KS.
Manhattan is located 120 miles west of Kansas City, Missouri, and can be accessed via car, USAirways, or KCI Roadrunner shuttle bus service from Kansas City.

If you are planning to fly into Manhattan, Kansas, after your arrival in Kansas City, you may:

1.Take the USAirways Express (1-800-428-4322)
2. Take the KCI Roadrunner Airport Shuttle Service (1-800-747-2524 or 785-539-2284 in Canada). It will cost $53.00 for one way or $95.00 for the round trips (mention Mike Lin Graphic Workshop group)
3. Rent a car if you have more than two in your party and need a car for convenience during your stay (It is recommended to rent a car if you wish not to carpool).
