Session Information
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Please be advised that this is a very intensive graphic workshop. Normally you will spend from 12 to 14 hours per day in the studio. Therefore, you are encouraged to bring along 9 sets of undergarments (and also bring a swim suit for the session). Get plenty of rest before attending the session, and be prepared to experience great improvements in graphics and design and to obtain the confidence needed in your life.
ART SUPPLIES
For your convenience, art supplies are available in the workshop bookstore and you are encouraged to purchase them upon your arrival so materials will be purchased correctly. Prices are very reasonable and should be lower than those in your local stores. Depending on your current supplies, you may want to budget between $50-$250 for art supplies and $50-$150 for reference books.
LODGING:
Our group will be staying at the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino in Henderson Nevada. The special discount rate is $45 for single or $22.50 for double (except on July 24 and 25, the rate will go up to $75 as the entire Las Vegas hotels’ policy to double or triple the rate on weekends). We don’t recommend 3 or 4 people in a room as rate will increase and just not economical for you. Therefore, I strongly recommend you to book for single or double for the comfort and efficiency. For reservation, please call 888-786-7389 and make sure to use our group name “Beloose Graphic Workshop” in order to receive this special discount rate, and let me know the confirmation number immediately. You are responsible to make your own reservation or finding roommates. If you need our assistance in finding roommates, please let us know. (Rates are subject to change without notice.) There is a daily resort fee of $14.99 that has been reduced to $4.99 for our group which includes free Wi-Fi, USA today on door, free local and long distance calls from room, access to gym and pool. Etc.
TRANSPORTATION
You may drive to the Sunset Station Hotel and Casino located at 1301 W. Sunset Rd, in Henderson, NV 89014. It is only 9 miles from the Las Vegas strip. You may also fly into the Las Vegas international airport which is about 9 miles from the hotel. We are currently working on transportation and will let you know a few weeks before the workshop starts. The worse scenario is take a taxi with someone else from the workshop that we will help you to connect, so stay tuned.
WEATHER:
The average temperature for the July session in Las Vegas is from 90-110 degrees Fahrenheit; But don’t panic, it is with very dry humility, besides we will be staying inside the air conditioned meeting room most of the time, or you may elect to jump into the hotel pool (free) to cool off.
