Event Description
The KRob competition is ‘the most senior architectural drawing competition currently in operation anywhere in the world’ and it celebrates those architects and designers who slave over the drawing board or computer screen to create the perfect rendering. Fitting because Ken Roberts, whom the competition is named after, was such an architect. His medium was ink and according to the KRob website he produced “immaculate ink perspective drawings of small residential and commercial projects that testified to an impressive facility for architectural rendering by hand”. Hence there is a specific prize for best hand drawn work. -AIA Dallas 2010
